Accommodation
If required the School will arrange accommodation in Niagara on the Lake. Most often, this is a “shared house” situation with your fellow students, with shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom facilities. NOTL is a popular tourist destination and accommodation is in high demand. We strongly suggest that you utilize the schools’ local knowledge to obtain suitable accommodation. Costs are approximately $550 per month including utilities.
Medical Services
Students
have access to Niagara region walk-in clinics. Those covered by
OHIP will receive treatment by a Nurse Practitioner unless otherwise
required. Foreign students are required to pay for all medical
treatment, including clinic visits and emergency services.
Library
Services
Niagara-on-the-lake
is home to a full
service library. Registration is required to access its services.
The library provides Internet access and inter-library requests
for information they are unable to provide.
Banking
Facilities
There
are many banking facilities in that area, including a banking
location conveniently located in the Village development on Niagara
Stone Road. Students can phone their bank's 1-800 information
line for information on Niagara-on-the-lake locations.
Health
Club Facility
A
full service health club facility is located just off the Queen
Elizabeth Way at the White
Oaks Inn and Conference Centre. Their facility is a convenient
ten minute drive from Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Tutoring
Services
All
efforts are made to assist students who are having difficulties
with any aspect of the required curriculum. By contacting the
Admissions
Office, students are linked with peers to assist with curriculum
difficulties.
Upgrading
Referrals
Students
requiring assistance to attain a Grade 12 Diploma or GED should
meet with the Program
Director in order to discuss their certification options.
Job
Registry
Students
who are interested in working part-time or on an "on call"
basis can submit their name to our Job Registry. The Registry
is made available to properties in Niagara-on-the-Lake and the
surrounding region.
