Services and Info

Accommodation
If required the School will arrange accommodation in Niagara on the Lake. Most often, this is a “shared house” situation with your fellow students, with shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom facilities. NOTL is a popular tourist destination and accommodation is in high demand. We strongly suggest that you utilize the schools’ local knowledge to obtain suitable accommodation. Costs are approximately $550 per month including utilities.

Medical Services
Students have access to Niagara region walk-in clinics. Those covered by OHIP will receive treatment by a Nurse Practitioner unless otherwise required. Foreign students are required to pay for all medical treatment, including clinic visits and emergency services.

Library Services
Niagara-on-the-lake is home to a full service library. Registration is required to access its services. The library provides Internet access and inter-library requests for information they are unable to provide.

Banking Facilities
There are many banking facilities in that area, including a banking location conveniently located in the Village development on Niagara Stone Road. Students can phone their bank's 1-800 information line for information on Niagara-on-the-lake locations.

Health Club Facility
A full service health club facility is located just off the Queen Elizabeth Way at the White Oaks Inn and Conference Centre. Their facility is a convenient ten minute drive from Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Tutoring Services
All efforts are made to assist students who are having difficulties with any aspect of the required curriculum. By contacting the Admissions Office, students are linked with peers to assist with curriculum difficulties.

Upgrading Referrals
Students requiring assistance to attain a Grade 12 Diploma or GED should meet with the Program Director in order to discuss their certification options.

Job Registry
Students who are interested in working part-time or on an "on call" basis can submit their name to our Job Registry. The Registry is made available to properties in Niagara-on-the-Lake and the surrounding region.
